Prime spot on the Macau Peninsula, step out and soak in landmark views

As the core of Macau’s historic district, the Macau Peninsula offers a unique sense of ease and relaxation compared to the bustling Cotai with its cluster of five-star hotels. Here, you’ll find the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado Square, and many other historical sites, all while being close to the Zhuhai border for convenient travel and customs clearance.

Pic | Trip.com Community Today’s recommendation is the YOHO Treasure Island Hotel - Euro Lake. On a regular day, you can book a high-floor sea-view room for just three-digit prices, while also enjoying the convenience of a prime location on the Macau Peninsula.

Departing from Guangzhou South Station, a high-speed train ride of about 1 hour takes you to Zhuhai Station. After exiting the station, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Gongbei Port, followed by a roughly 10-minute sightseeing bus ride straight to the hotel. From Shenzhen, a high-speed train to Zhuhai Station takes just under 2 hours.

Taking buses 26A, 33, or MT4 will get you directly to concert venues like The Venetian, Galaxy Arena, The Londoner, and Studio City. Most Macau buses run until around midnight, so after the show, you can hop on a shuttle bus straight back to the hotel.Image Credit: Trip.com Community Recently, singers like Wu Bai, Rainie Yang, and Tang Ling Shan will be holding concerts in Macau, along with the “King of Karaoke” performance featuring powerhouse vocalists such as Eason Chan, Joey Yung, Bibi Zhou, Gigi Yim, and Chen Huiyang. Let’s immerse ourselves in familiar melodies and feel the thrilling moment when thousands of hearts beat as one.

Just right, right in the center.

The hotel is close to many iconic attractions. Just a 5-minute walk away, you can reach Wynn Macau Hotel and enjoy the dazzling golden tree performance. As the sky dome displays koi fish forming the character “福” (fortune), the 21,000 crystal chandeliers on the ceiling slowly descend, complementing the golden tree adorned with 24K pure gold leaves. The scene is truly spectacular.

After watching the money tree performance, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, where you can experience the elegance and historical charm of the ancient Baroque architecture.

Next to the Ruins of St. Paul’s is the bustling and lively St. Paul’s Handicraft Street, where many shops are century-old establishments. The wooden barrel charcoal-baked almond cookies from Cho Heng Bakery are very famous, using traditional charcoal baking to bring out the natural sweetness of almonds, soft and not sticky.

Along the street, you can also find thick-cut pork jerky, Portuguese egg tarts, pork chop buns, curry fish balls, and other specialties. Most of these foods, like peanut candy and almond cookies, come in gift boxes, making them perfect as souvenirs.

This hotel is also one of the rare family-friendly hotels in Macau. Right downstairs, you’ll find the first Galeries Lafayette in Hong Kong and Macau, an outlet mall, a Pop Mart flagship store, and more—basically a one-stop shop for eating, drinking, and having fun.

Pic | Ctrip Community The infinity pool on the first floor of the hotel faces the Macau Tower and Nam Van Lake, offering a panoramic view of the serene lakeside scenery and city landmarks. When you get tired of swimming, you can relax on the lounge chairs nearby, enjoying the leisurely and carefree holiday vibe.

Image | Trip.com Community The daily rate for the basic room type, the Skyline Sea View Twin Room, is around 600. The interior decor features a grand and elegant gray-gold tone. Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring the view of South Bay Lake indoors, creating a relaxed and refined ambiance.

Photo | Ctrip Community If you want to enjoy the nighttime musical fountain, you can opt for the Deluxe Fountain View King Room, which usually costs around 800 per night. The room offers an unobstructed view of the fountain performance area. As night falls, with the music starting, the dreamy scene of lights and water jets intertwining unfolds right before your window—no need to step out of your room to privately savor this iconic Macau audio-visual spectacle.

Photo | Ctrip Community After saving up so much anticipation, it finally took root in Macau. Let the breeze along the Haojiang River hit you, wander through the old streets and alleys; from the century-old grandeur of Ruins of St. Paul’s to the romantic canals of The Venetian; from the food alleys of Taipa to the sea and sky at Guia Lighthouse — here, there’s both an ever-glowing vibrancy and a tender poetic charm of everyday life~YOHO Gold & Silver Island Hotel - Continental Lakeside
