Shanghai’s Sheshan National Tourist Resort is putting youth culture and tourism in the spotlight with the 2026 Sheshan Resort Campus Super Music Season. Since the event launched, online registrations have been climbing, drawing university students from across China who are using the stage to celebrate youth through song.
The competition is designed as a youth culture brand that blends music contests, tourism check-ins and campus networking. Entries are being accepted through Channels topic registration and targeted university referrals, with styles ranging from pop and folk to original songs and band performances.

Online auditions gain momentum
The preliminary round has attracted strong interest from college singers, giving young performers a platform to show off diverse tastes, creative energy and stage confidence.
Roadshow builds buzz ahead of the next stage
In mid-May, the music season’s offline roadshow wrapped up at Songjiang Cherry Blossom Square. Campus singers performed alongside traditional craft and heritage stalls, interactive games and tourism promotions, creating a lively atmosphere that helped widen the event’s reach.

Top 30 set for May 30 showdown
The semifinal is scheduled for May 30 at Songjiang Wanda Plaza. Thirty musicians who advanced from the online preliminary round will compete for 15 places in the final.
The judging panel is expected to include representatives from Sheshan Resort, university music faculty and experienced musicians. Performers will be scored on vocal technique, stage presence and overall presentation, with live feedback during the event.
June final and prizes ahead
Semifinal winners will move on to the final, which is planned for June. Organizers are preparing a larger-scale stage show, with cash prizes, attraction tickets and the title of Youth Cultural Tourism Ambassador among the rewards for young musicians.
