Beijing's Cultural and Tourism Sector Shines at 2026 IMEX Frankfurt Fair, Expanding Global Collaboration

On May 19-21, 2026, the IMEX Frankfurt exhibition took place, highlighting Beijing’s growing influence in global conferences. Beijing’s cultural and tourism department led a delegation of 10 top enterprises, leveraging air transport resources and new visa policies to promote Beijing as a premier international convention and tourism hub.

Strategic Focus on International Collaboration This initiative underscores Beijing’s efforts to build a global exchange center, combining cultural heritage with modern exhibition facilities. The delegation emphasized high-end tourism products and seamless entry policies, with China Airlines showcasing direct routes from Beijing to Frankfurt.

Cultural Immersion and Policy Benefits Interactive zones featuring intangible cultural heritage and Peking opera outfits allowed visitors to experience Beijing’s traditions. The exhibition also detailed updated visa policies, including 50 countries enjoying visa-free entry and 29 with mutual visa exemptions.

Expanding Global Partnerships Through specialized briefings and partnerships with 300+ international firms, Beijing secured 3,800 potential visitors. The focus on Europe and South America aimed to create tailored tourism packages under new policy advantages.

Future Outlook With ongoing policy improvements and the upcoming CIMX conference, Beijing plans to enhance its global brand as a convention and tourism leader, strengthening its role in international cultural and economic exchanges.
