Between Sips, Discovering Mountains and Rivers — China National Geographic's Art Geography Immersive Tasting Zone Debuts at the 22nd Shenzhen ICIF

Images from previous editions of the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). As the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (referred to as “Shenzhen ICIF”) kicks off on a grand scale, China National Geographic • Art Geography sincerely invites you to visit the venue and experience an immersive tasting of local flavors.

This year’s ICIF is co-hosted by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the National Radio and Television Administration, with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism taking the lead and the Shenzhen Municipal Government organizing the event. It is scheduled to be held from May 21 to 25, 2026, at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. As “China’s No. 1 Cultural Industries Fair,” ICIF has always been a bellwether for innovation in the cultural industry. This edition focuses on expanding new consumption scenarios, cultivating new consumption formats, and unleashing new consumption potential, aiming to build an immersive, experiential, and one-stop cultural tourism consumption model.

China National Geographic • Art Geography will make its debut at the fair with the launch of the “Shanhe Tasting Micro-Space.” Backed by the scientific depth and artistic expression accumulated over more than 70 years since the founding of China National Geographic, Art Geography takes “experiencing beauty and creating beauty” as its mission, dedicated to turning grand geographical science into tangible, tasteable flavors of the land. We believe that geography should not just be lines of latitude and longitude on a map—it should be touched, savored, and become a vessel for emotional connection.

At that time, **China National Geographic • Art Geography will transform into a space where you can sit down and soak in local characteristics, adding a dash of flavor and charm to the ICIF.**Rooted in geographical science, each drink blends a region’s climate, soil, altitude with native plants and local craftsmanship, becoming a “geographical ID card” etched with terroir’s code. You will taste the aesthetics of mountains and rivers, mapped out through flavor.Art geography breaks the boundaries of the senses, condensing the grand symphony of nature into a cup. Taking Shenzhen’s Futian District as our subject, the event will showcase how, through tasting, participants can engage in a deep dialogue with the monsoons, mists, and living creatures of this land. For government agencies and partner organizations, we present the “Immersive Terroir Tasting Space” solution, which can be applied in various scenarios such as urban cultural tourism, scenic area upgrades, cultural districts, and ecological study tours, helping unlock new potential for cultural tourism consumption.

We deeply understand that the deep integration of culture and tourism requires more diverse experiential approaches. China National Geography · Art Geography, with the rigor of science and the sensibility of art, aspires to be a translator of the beauty of mountains and rivers, working with local governments and partners to explore the innovative path of “Geography + Tasting + Cultural Tourism.”

We sincerely invite you to join us, as amidst the clinking of cups, you can see the mountains, the rivers, the latitudes and longitudes, and the vast world.
