As everyone knows, flight pass deals are always a hot item that sells out fast if you hesitate.

This year’s flight passes have one difference: all prices are exclusive of taxes. Due to recent large fluctuations in fuel surcharges, it’s uncertain what the taxes and fees will be.

Today, there are five flight passes from China Southern Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Air China, and Hainan Airlines.

All items go on sale at 10:00 AM.

We’ll list each tier below.

Some China Southern routes may require a transfer in Guangzhou, as Guangzhou is their hub.

So for southbound routes, a transfer in Guangzhou is relatively convenient.

Tiers: 300 RMB, 350 RMB, 450 RMB, 500 RMB, 600 RMB.

Tiers: 650 RMB, 700 RMB, 750 RMB.

These tiers are quite good for Bali. Direct flights to Bali are scarce now, and transferring through Guangzhou with China Southern is convenient for southern destinations. Same goes for Chiang Mai.

Also, the Hangzhou-Budapest price is really good.

Tiers: 800 RMB, 900 RMB, 1000 RMB, 1050 RMB.

This tier lets you go to Melbourne. China Southern has been competing with Cathay Pacific on Australian routes. I personally think Hangzhou-Melbourne at around 3600+ RMB including taxes is a great deal.

Tiers: 1100 RMB, 1200 RMB, 1300 RMB, 1400 RMB, 1500 RMB.

Again, recommended for China Southern’s Australian routes, like Brisbane and Sydney.

From this table, we can see something sneaky about China Southern: flights departing from Guangzhou are actually more expensive. For example, a direct Guangzhou-Chiang Mai flight costs more than a Hangzhou-Chiang Mai flight with a transfer in Guangzhou.

Tiers: 1550 RMB, 1700 RMB, 2000 RMB, 2100 RMB, 2400 RMB, 2600 RMB, 2700 RMB, 3000 RMB, 3200 RMB, 4000 RMB.

Highly recommend flying to Auckland. Transferring in Guangzhou isn’t too much trouble, and a price just over 4000 RMB is much cheaper than a direct Air New Zealand flight.

China Southern also offers a direct Guangzhou-Christchurch route, which isn’t available from other cities, so a Guangzhou transfer is hassle-free. Direct to Christchurch lets you easily explore the South Island.
