Minghao’s location is amazing, right in Qiandao Lake’s core commercial area, surrounded by the lake on three sides, offering rare natural scenery. Just look at the map—it’s the center of Qiandao Lake, only 3 minutes from the central pier. Next to the hotel is Qiandao Lake’s seafood market.

The rooms at Minghao are also nice: base rooms start at 55㎡, all with balconies, bathtubs, Bulgari toiletries, and Dyson hairdryers.

Tianyu Kaiyuan is located in Jinhua Town, Xiaoshan, Hangzhou. The hotel is built on a hilltop plateau, with great surroundings and views.

In terms of design, Tianyu Guan Tang features a grand Chinese style.

It’s very family-friendly, with an outdoor windmill kids’ play area and an indoor Little Buds Park, where kids can climb and play to their heart’s content.

There’s also an indoor movie screening room that occasionally shows films (not in sync with theaters).

The dining at Tianyu Kaiyuan is excellent. Breakfast features local specialties, with many freshly made Xiaoshan-style dishes. I personally love the noodles – they’re really good.

The most recommended option is definitely the Villa Twin Room 1 night with breakfast + 2 Senbo Water Park tickets for 599 yuan. Let me put it this way – a group-buy ticket for Senbo Water Park costs 128 yuan per person.

Subtract that, and the Villa Twin Room at Tianyu Kaiyuan Guan Tang is only a bit over 300 yuan.

It also includes a full meal. I got the menu: stir-fried chicken, water shield and fish balls, homemade pickled cabbage steamed with dried shrimp, and seasonal vegetable soup in broth.

Opened in 2019, it’s relatively new within the Ramada family, so no issues with aging hardware. When buying, go for newer rather than older – same logic usually applies to hotels.

The hotel is next to Jinxiang Lake Park, about 2.7 km from Nanxun Ancient Town. How’s that distance? I think it’s just right.

The inns in the ancient town have their charm, but they’re so noisy at night it makes you question life. With this hotel, you’re a 10-minute drive to the town, can visit, then go back for a good sleep – both things sorted.

The room type in this deal is great – the Executive Suite is a whopping 100 sqm.

Check the calendar – it’s usually over 1000 yuan per night, but this deal includes afternoon tea, Ding Sheng cake, and double-topping noodles for just 399. It’s an incredible value.

This package doesn’t include three meals, as you all previously said two meals are enough, and it’s better to go out for lunch. So the price is more affordable, but it only includes breakfast and dinner.

I’ve stayed at Pu Shen many times. Their philosophy is “reviving traditional architecture in the present.” The Pu Shen in Shaoxing’s Lanting and Beijing’s Expo Garden are both built around ancient structures.

But Tiger Hill Pu Shen is a new Chinese-style imitation of ancient architecture. The hotel is newly built and opened at the end of last year (2025).

Old buildings have their charm, and new ones have their perks too. At least in terms of room hardware, Tiger Hill Pu Shen has a clear advantage.

The regular price for Suzhou Tiger Hill Pu Shen isn’t cheap—over 1,000 RMB per night, and that’s only with breakfast.

But our package is 788 RMB per night, including one night with breakfast and a double dinner.

We’ve stayed at Tiger Hill Pu Shen before, right after it opened at the end of last year.

The hotel’s location is great. It’s right next to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal on one side and close to Tiger Hill Scenic Area on the other (about 500 meters in a straight line from Tiger Hill).

Tiger Hill is pretty much a must-visit spot in Suzhou.

The Shantang River flows right in front of the hotel, eventually emptying into the Qili Shantang Scenic Area. The Shantang River is famous in Suzhou—it’s the city’s “water alley icon.”

Scenic spots like Qili Shantang Street, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Hanshan Temple are all within a 15-minute drive, making it easy to start a fantastic cultural exploration of Suzhou. The hotel is also convenient for travel. There’s a subway station at Tiger Hill—Jinji Dun Station on Line 6, Exit 2, is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Suzhou Tiger Hill Pu Shen Hotel has a private pier. You can take a special sightseeing boat, cruising along the southern water system directly to Qili Shantang, enjoying a leisurely waterside journey and deeply experiencing the authentic charm of Suzhou’s water town.

Suzhou Pu Shen blends Jiangnan aesthetics into its design. The feeling of Suzhou is all about small bridges, flowing water, and local homes, and this hotel has plenty of that.

This kind of hotel is perfect for taking photos in Hanfu or cheongsam.

There’s a Hanfu experience hall in the hotel. I don’t know much about it, but the clothes seem to be of good quality. Since the hotel is new, the outfits are probably new too.

The package includes Hanfu experience and three photos.

Suzhou Pu Shen is a hotel with a strong sense of design. The lobby and public areas are a new Chinese-style cultural space, blending traditional Chinese elegance with Western sophistication.

There are tons of artworks in the public areas. That’s actually what sets luxury brands apart from regular hotels.

The lobby bar area looks great, with a dark color scheme and colorful art pieces in the center that make it pop.

There are also several spiral staircases, each one stunning.

The hotel also has a Suzhou Craft Hall, a boutique that sells cultural items related to Suzhou and the hotel. Everything is quite refined.

The Superior King/Twin Room is the base room type, covering 42 square meters, in a new Chinese style.

Here’s a real photo of our room. We used a 28mm lens, so the room doesn’t look as wide as it actually is. It’s bigger in reality.

Some rooms have a small balcony.

This 788 RMB per night package includes breakfast and a buffet dinner.

The hotel has two restaurants: Haiyong All-Day Buffet Restaurant and Shenlu Chinese Restaurant.

Haiyong All-Day Buffet serves diverse Chinese cuisine with plenty of options. Breakfast hours are 7-10 AM. Dinner is 5:30-8:30 PM. Of course, check the actual times when you check in.

This is the first promotion for the new hotel, and we went right away. The regular price is pretty steep.

The hotel is located on the top of Siming Mountain in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang, at an altitude of over 500 meters. The surroundings are fantastic. Let me share some aerial photos.

The hotel has an amazing infinity pool.

There’s also a suspension bridge on the property, open in the morning and afternoon. Walking to the middle gives you a great view of the mountains, but kids and guests afraid of heights should be careful.

The hotel has two cafes. One is a cliffside cafe with a great view.

The other cafe is at the village entrance, also a nice-looking one.

This Sheraton is a landmark in Huzhou. Built on the shore of Taihu Lake and shaped like a ring, it’s affectionately called the “Moon Ring” by netizens.

When the lights come on at night, the whole building starts changing colors—red, green, purple, blue—like a disco ball, but somehow it looks ridiculously stunning.

The designer is Ma Yansong. In 2014, this building won the Emporis Skyscraper Award, considered the Oscar of architecture.

There’s plenty to do around the hotel too.

The hotel is located in the Huzhou Taihu Lake Tourist Resort, built right over the lake. Nearby attractions include Xiaomei Mountain, Fisherman’s Wharf, Taihu Ancient Town, Huzhou Film Studio, and Dragon Dream Paradise.

The hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor one is a heated pool, while the outdoor one is a stunning infinity pool (open seasonally).

If you’re bringing kids, the indoor kids’ club here is pretty solid.

The base room is 29 square meters, and since it’s an IHG Holiday Inn, the quality is generally reliable.

Our company did a team building at this Anantara two years ago.

We chose Anantara because it’s right next to a must-visit attraction in Xishuangbanna—the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

This botanical garden covers over a thousand hectares, with east and west zones. You explore plants during the day and animals at night. You can’t finish seeing it all in one day and one night.

Plus, the garden is far from the city, so it’s best to stay nearby for a night.

Xishuangbanna Anantara is surrounded by virgin forest, facing the winding Luosuo River, with the botanical garden on the other side.

The resort covers over 150 mu (about 10 hectares), like a serene and elegant garden, with architecture mainly in a Dai-Thai style.

It’s a low-density resort with just 103 rooms, all hidden among lush tropical plants.

The Deluxe Garden View Terrace Room is an upgraded room type, similar inside to the basic room but with an outdoor terrace overlooking the virgin forest, giving you the feeling of living in a rainforest.
